LoRa/Sigfox

We use LoRa and Sigfox, two low-power networks, in order to connect our sensors to the cloud. This enables efficient transmission of accurate measurement data over long distances – with minimal energy consumption.

This is the transmission journey of the measurement data – from our sensors, up into the cloud and then presented in a webb based system. Our sensors are also be connectable to future LPWAN  (Low Power Wide Area Network) networks.

LoRa

At AXsensor, we mainly use LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) in order to connect our sensors to the cloud. LoRa is a connection service for IoT (Internet of Things). It is also a low-power network, specially designed for battery driven sensors that wish to communicate via the cloud with bidirectional communication. LoRaWAN enables our sensors to safely and efficiently transmit exact measurement data over long distances – with low energy consumption and a long-lasting battery life. Read more about LoRa.

Sigfox

We also use Sigfox LPWAN to connect our sensors to the cloud. Sigfox is a low-power network and a connection service for IoT (Internet of Things), and provides a two-way communication service through a global radio network. ”Two-way”, or duplex, means that messages can be sent but also received by a connected device. Sigfox is optimized to ensure a long-lasting battery life. Read more about Sigfox.
